"WINGS"
-Women in God's Service - is the acronym given to the ministries of the women at the Smyrna
Church of Christ. WINGS is broken down into three teams of different activities;
Outreach, In-reach, and Events. For every woman at Smyrna Church of Christ, there are many
opportunities to serve God!
WINGS Ministry Team
♥ Outreach - This is to help us reach out to our
community and provide spiritual encouragement
and assistance representing the Smyrna church
of Christ.
♥ In-reach - The ministry teams involves all
interested women of SCC in ministry and
provides information regarding these ministries
and projects.
♥ Events - Planned women’s events are to
encourage fellowship and enhance spiritual
development: Ladies Retreat, Hospital Visits,
Ladies TEA, Dine-Out, etc.

WINGS ~ Hospitali-TEA!
This is a very special dinner event held during the Autumn of EVEN years; 2006, 2008, 2010...Not eveyone can go away for the weekend Retreat and so the birth of an evening with encouragement, dinner, gifts, visiting, entertainment and uplifting is held here at the church! Come be a part of this lovely time together to meet new sisters and friends! You and a couple of friends can choose to be a 'Table Decorator' with a different theme each time, or just come and enjoy the evening. Some ladies work on their table for two years, collecting ideas and gifts! Handmade items are always welcome. WINGS ~ Ladies RETREAT
Ladies Retreat is a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life! This is held in the Autumn of ODD years; 2007, 2009.
RETREAT from what?
God calls us to 'Be still and know that I AM'.
Going away with Christian sisters gives us the opportunity to focus on time with our Lord and Father without the interruptions of daily life; time to spend in prayer and learning, interacting and blessing each other, growing and increasing our faith in our Savior and HIS church.
Sometimes we retreat for one night and sometimes for two. We try to stay within a 50 mile radius of Smyrna and there’s always emergency numbers available.
Mothers with nursing children are welcome, as well as elderly sisters; please, just ask for special accommodations if needed. Watch our Bulletin for additional information regarding both of these events.
