Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12

Who we are:

A safe place...Friends and caring adults that listen...Biblical morality...A Faith that lasts...These are our values.  Our Student Ministry is comprised of 130+ Middle and High School Students.  The attend a variety of schools...Smyrna, Lavergne, Blackman, Siegal, MTCS, Ezell-Harding, Lipscomb, as well as home school programs.  Over 25 adults are involved weekly and actively with our Student Ministry.  Our three main goals are Discipleship, Service, and Church Family.  We want to graduate baptized, spirit filled disciples of Jesus who get their hands dirty helping others and feel a connection to the multi-generational church family.

Weekly Gatherings:

We meet for prayer, Bible study, and worship from 9:30-10:15 on Sunday mornings and from 7:00-8:00 Wednesday nights.  On the first Wednesday night of each month, we have HighPoint - an evening of revival and worship.  Twice a year (Sept/Oct & March/April), we offer a ministry entitled Life Hurts, God Heals - a 9 week support class/group for teens who have experienced trauma, loss, and addiction.

Life Groups:

Our small groups meet most every Sunday night at the church building from 4:30-7:00 for worship, games, group time, and food.  We've all heard stats on how many young people leave the faith after High School.  What types of teens hold onto their Christian faith during their 20s?  Several studies show that teens who are regularly involved in acts of service alongside adults have the greatest likelihood of paracticing Christianity as adults.  Because of this, our small group ministry is comprised of LIFE Groups that pray, read Scripture, share what's going on in their life, and plan regular acts of service.  Our groups are led by students, and there is an adult coach in every group.  We have LIFE Groups dedicated to Homelessness, Domestic Violence, Kids with special needs, and Spanish Speaking ministry.  In addition, we participate in the Walk for Water, which raises funds to drill water wells in the third world, and we have a Marathon Club, which competes in the Country Music Half-Marathon to raise funds for Jovenes en Camino (a boy's home in Honduras).

Trips & Activities:

Past trips and activities have included Mission work in Honduras, Nashville Work Camp, Super Camp in Georgia, 4-5 retreats a year, Snow Tubing in Indiana, Hiking in the Smokies, Summer Bible Camp, Atlanta Braves & Nashville Predators games, Six Flags, Youth in Action, and Lock-Ins.  In addition, we have a high school boy’s basketball team that competes in a Church League.
