a warm Christian atmosphere

Smyrna Christian School offers two different schedule options.  There is a 5-day program, and there are two 2-day Mother’s Day Out programs (click tabs to the left for specific information on each program).  Our school year runs August through May, with full and part time summer programs also available.

Learning concepts and skills are introduced which are appropriate to each child’s stage of development.  Learning is interactive, both in the classroom and through a variety of in-house programs and special events planned each yearBible stories and biblical principles are introduced in both the classroom and in regular chapel services and group time.

The school is under the direction of Teresa Sisco, with the 2-day program under the supervision of Nina Foutch.  These Christian ladies, along with a staff of more than 20 caring Christian early child care professionals make Smyrna Christian School a great place for meaningful learning, moral and physical growth, and kindergarten preparedness.

SCS basically follows the Rutherford County School system in opening dates, holidays, in-service days, and snow days.  Parents will be given a school schedule at registration, and will be notified well in advance of any changes or variations.

The daily schedule at SCS includes group or chapel time, a study unit that includes hands on activities and crafts, a Bible lesson, lunch, rest time, snack time, and large motor skill activities.

All necessary information and obligations are detailed on the Smyrna Christian School Policy Statement.  Parents will be required to read the policy at enrollment and encouraged to ask any and all questions regarding school procedures.
